I've been posting the hilarious videos from the #TeslaTakedown protests at the diner ever since. West Hollywood knows how to put on a show, and these protests have produced some of the funniest costumes and art in the US protest movement.
It's certainly done a number on business.

The almost new neon "TESLA DINER" sign has given up, though. The protesters documented its slow demise, letter by letter, and now it's completely out.

UPDATE: Oh wow. So I was right to be suspicious of the "the protesters have given up," but the SF Gate got it wrong because the protesters' car was broken into and a bunch of their equipment was stolen. They are still having loud regular protests but without the gear.
