Dear Senator / Representative:

Election deniers are being elected to positions of power. It is long past time for you to speak out, every day if needed, about President Trump’s big lie.

The 2020 election was not stolen.

There is no evidence of widespread fraud, by citizens or non-citizens.

Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY), then chair of the House Republican Conference, said on Feb. 23, 2021, that in more than 60 court cases many “judges appointed by President Trump and other Republican presidents” examined the evidence. Their consensus: no "widespread fraud.”

And yet here we are, almost six years later, and the President and his supporters still claim – and are quoted in news stories – that the 2020 election was stolen. There is almost never a quote from someone stating the facts of the matter.

This is what I want your office to do:
- issue a news release affirming that the 2020 presidential election was not stolen and criticizing those who continue to spread this baseless lie;
- read the news release into the record on the floor;
- use social media to debunk President Trump every time he claims the 2020 election was stolen; and
- actively debunk claims by any politician in our state who makes that claim.

It is your constitutional duty to uphold the republic. Silence is complicity.
