I have tuned the everloving SHIT out of my #3dPrinter and I'm still getting rough surface layers starting at layer 4 through about 15ish. I've calibrated e-steps and pressure advance, leveled with a feeler gauge, pulled my z-offset up and down, decreased my flow ratio, increased my flow ratio, slowed down, sped up, hotter, colder...
I'm so close to just chucking this thing into the garage and coming back to it in a year.

@julie I mean I had somewhat similar problems in the beginning with my Creality K1. What I needed was two thin pieces of cardboard under one foot. The whole printer was kind of wobbling around on three feet, but not enough for it to be noticable from anything but few bad quality layers.

@jago@mementomori.social Wouldn't I see it on other layers too then? I mean, I'll check for wobble for sure but I'm so ... Frustrated.

@julie Yeah, I didn't bother thinking about it too much after the cardboard fixed it. I had a small band of bad quality surface at the bottom of parts. Maybe the part started wobbling in sync with the wobbling of the machine when it grew high enough. Or maybe it was because of the change in center of gravity when the bed went down. No idea.
