I had a small band of bad quality surface at the bottom of parts. Maybe the part started wobbling in sync with the wobbling of the machine when it grew high enough. Or maybe it was because of the change in center of gravity when the bed went down. No idea.

jago@mementomori.social

Reply to I have tuned the everloving SHIT out of my #3dPrinter and I'm still getting rough surface layers starting at layer 4 through about 15ish. on Wed, 22 Apr 2026 15:25:27 GMT

@jago@mementomori.social Wouldn't I see it on other layers too then? What I needed was two thin pieces of cardboard under one foot. The whole printer was kind of wobbling around on three feet, but not enough for it to be noticable from anything but few bad quality layers.

jago@mementomori.social

Reply to I have tuned the everloving SHIT out of my #3dPrinter and I'm still getting rough surface layers starting at layer 4 through about 15ish. on Wed, 22 Apr 2026 14:47:43 GMT

@julie de-wobbled the table the printer is on?

jago@mementomori.social
