Encouraged by early success, Hitler also thought fighting on multiple fronts would not be a problem.
Their arrogance always brings them down.

@randahl
I think it's rather rooted in the common arrogant USamerican picture of themselves as being superior to everything and everyone "best country in the world"
partly out of #whitesupremacy partly out of lack of education (on purpose). He is (just) a poster example of both.
So with him apparently greedy power "gone lose", lawless, reckless.Edit: He is not someone with an ideology but only a greedy, stupid narcissist. And that's why he is such a useful tool for some. #steve_bannon

They need more volatility in the stock market to even further enrich their mafia gang.

@randahl Those no kings demonstrations are not going to be enough. This president is a maniac.
Of course not. Their purpose is to demonstrate that there is widespread opposition to the regime and bring more people into active non-cooperation with the regime.
Growing participation in non-cooperation, in chipping away at the pillars that support and hold up the regime is what will bring it down.

it's people that bring them down, the US needs to unit against the orange fascist, and that -crucially- includes the military and the police.
-
@randahl Which early success though?
Venezuela. now trump is in denial about Iran, probably encouraged by his sycophantic staff

yes, it's a good start

@Captain_Jack_Sparrow @randahl Yes! The policepeople and servicepeople I know, albeit few, behave like other working class people, not political agents.

@randahl You mean to tell me an 80yo pedophile who is currently being held together by mountains of cocaine, McDonalds wrappers and experimental dimentia medication isn't a genius war time strategist? I'm shocked

@randahl Please don't compare this orange with a historical figure. That will only boost his ego and distract him from the shame of his nano wiener.

Don't get me wrong, a good start is a good start. I get it.
That said: does Trump care if it's a good start? Does any American corporation care? No, not a single notable US CEO has spoken out against Trump. Not one.
So, which pillars have been eroded?
We're heading into something that looks more and more like WW3.
The gravity of the situation necessitates something more than a good start.

@randahl However, this arrogance killed millions of people, as seen in Ukraine

100% agree with this. We in Europe need to put pressure on our politicians too. Even though there are some that have called US actions illegal, and nobody is jumping at the chance to fight Trump's war, there's not really much of a response coming from us either.

@Captain_Jack_Sparrow
I applaud your highly accurate description of the USA's glorious leader
