@vitallie @jakobrosin You use their software for PC or Mac to capture online meetings. It does an exceptional job with lectures, and yes, for one on ones I disclose.
@JonathanMosen @jakobrosin really interesting, i don't think I would be allowed to use it at work, but I think there are plenty enough situations to justify such a device

@jakobrosin h dude overview is a good word for it. I haven’t even talked about how tasks automatically get put in Todoist for my follow-up, and how I get beautiful markdown summaries of meetings automatically placed in Dropbox right after the meeting. This thing is just so fantastic although the fluctuating accessibility is frustrating.

@jakobrosin Xacly. It has excellent Zapier integration. So that gives you a lot of room to play with different automations.

@jakobrosin @vitallie What does GDPR compliance look like for a company using LLMs for core features? A lot of crossed fingers that US tech companies will do the right thing

I've been in a few meetings this week where having quality notes is essential. Despite its UI quirks, the Plaud Note Pro does such an incredible job. Huge battery life, speaker identification, and templates for any occasion. Such a useful little gadget. Oh, and it now shows up in my Find My app as well.
@JonathanMosen What are the differences between this and the regular plaud note? Website is not super clear.

@ysotomayor The note Pro is newer and has better mics.
-
@cartertemm There is no display. It just has a single button on the device and pairs with its app. In Access On episode 7, you can hear a review and demonstration of its smaller sibling, the Plaud Note Pin.
@JonathanMosen Great episode, consider me sold. The free plan with 300 minutes per month seems quite generous. I'm curious how they're subsidizing GPT-5.2, Gemini 3.1 Pro, and Claude Sonnet 4.6 usage while keeping the cost so reasonable.

@JonathanMosen @ysotomayor So I've never tried a device like this, so I am curious. How are the mics compared to the iPhone’s mics? I think one of the advantages of our apps and the drawback is that we are limited to the mic that is built in to the device the app is on, so I'm curious if a dedicated device’s mics like this would make all the difference.

@mikedoise @ysotomayor Yes, it makes the world of difference having a device optimized for recording people from long distances. Plus, I have it automatically sending markdown transcripts and summaries to Dropbox, and since it does speaker identification brilliantly, it puts tasks assigned to me in Todoist without me having to do anything.

@JonathanMosen Yeah, this sounds like something I will need in the near future. Are there are any plans to do a piece on the pro?

@JonathanMosen @ysotomayor Thank you for sharing that, and I love the automation where it can save to Dropbox.
We are always trying to improve our apps, so knowing how these other products work will help us put features in our apps like Perspective Transcribe.

@JonathanMosen @jakobrosin Is Zapier accessible?

@ysotomayor I didn’t have any, but there has been so much interest this weekend that I may well have to do something.

@JonathanMosen @jakobrosin Is Zapier accessible?
@EdenLinnea @JonathanMosen @jakobrosin I have used Zapier on a browser. It's not that intuitive, but it's accessible. I don't know of the app.
