i may be the only astigmatic person who cares about this, but mac os 27 has improved the display accessibility settings a bit.

pretty sure it was spun out of “increase contrast.” the net result is you can now toggle them all independently. there are new, less eye-melting possibilities now. #wwdc
i really appreciate settings that make my screen scream less at my poor eyeballs.

(yeah, i stupidly went for the beta because i hated tahoe that much. this is worth it, even with the AI turned off. PS: the window corners are less hideously round and drag and drop is no longer acting like it’s drunk on four loko.) #wwdc

@rstevens as someone who’s still hanging back on sequoia and ios 18, this is all really good to hear. thank you!

@beep my pleasure! i have been maintaining a sequoia machine for safety, but had to dig in and see if they made anything less spherical. it's somewhat improved.

@rstevens I have low hopes, but does Show Borders no longer look like a toddler tried to outline buttons?

@frederick it goes HARD when combined with “increase contrast," but only outlines the window or active menu if not.

@rstevens Sounds interesting. Looks like I’ll have a reason to be excited for the public beta when it hits. I like the toggles.
