    So Pete Hegseth can’t feed his deployed Navy?

    You don’t fuck with food, family, or pay. Everyone in management knows that. Can’t keep your workforce happy if they’re hungry and deployed too long.

      @mcnado week past when that popped up in mil RUMINT network (the only thing that moves faster than light is gossip in uniform), peeps were more than just outraged.

      The ONE THING that was always guaranteed is, the military will feed you. I have had hot food delivered to us in some bufu COB out there, in between occasional mortar round hitting.

      Now, under Turd Reich/KKKegseth they won't even FEEDthe troops right.

        @mcnado in a classic British Royal Navy move, they could at least bring in extra rum rations

        Oh wait, that’s probably not a great thing to do on a modern battleship full of explodey things, is it?

                          So wait, they've lost the ability to feed the people with guns and the training to use them? That's not likely to end well.

                                        @swiftone @mcnado it should also be noted that part of the reason American fascists eschew logistics is that before integration it was what Black service members did in disproportionate numbers. (Hence it was done extremely well and laid the foundation for the systems you describe.)

                                          @Fishercat @mcnado

                                          This might not _cause_ a coup, but it helps increase the odds that the military does not support Trump when _he_ tries to do a coup.

                                          Again.
