They also said, and still say, that there could be “no daylight” between US and Israeli policy.
Of course, ultimately the only way to get “no daylight” is to let Israel dictate US policy.
Meanwhile, they keep calling Israel an important ally. There’s no treaty relationship, Israel is a client state. At this time, a very troublesome client.
