@caseyliss @mathowie oh also, USB-A to USB-C ones are handy on the airplane and the rental cars. The newer ones have USB-C often, but it's far from 100%. The other thing is that the hotel TV almost always has USB-A ports that will charge a phone. That's the move when the ones on the desk are broken (often) from too much use.

@mathowie @coachmike66 something that really blew my fucking mind, thanks to @ironicbadger, was:

• Get a USB-C multi-port charger that takes power via an IEC C7 connector
• Get a [local AC outlet] C7 connector
