"Imperial blowback"
In 1953, Churchill & his US counterparts "launched a coup against the democratically elected Prime Minister of Iran, Mohammad Mosaddegh, because he was nationalizing the oil industry..."
"... and when that [US-UK] regime was overthrown in the Iranian revolution in 1979, one of the main reasons that people gave for that revolution was the overthrow of Mosaddegh in 1953..."

Thank you. I've known this actual history of Iran for quite sometime and I have always thought, "Is it any wonder why Iran HATES the West?
BTW... Kermit Roosevelt (Teddy's relative) was working for the CIA in an organization that was not officially known as CIA operations.
Kermit managed to help BP (APOC) stage a "coup d'état" by paying around 100 Iranians to storm the palace where Premier Mohammad Mossadegh resided.
It was all filmed and broadcast on TV media and in "news films" that preceded movies in theaters.
In today's globally soaked War Propaganda networks, this history is totally BLANKED OUT.
It's a damn shame that this YouTube video can't be run on Mainstream Global Media...
That'll be the day, eh?
