@EUCommission Wording, please. This makes it sound like there was some tolerance towards dodging sanctions before.

Well they dodge it by routing trade through india, or at least it was the case, so I think the wording is accurate assuming that's brought to a stop

The net around Russia's war machine is getting tighter.

As our sanctions take hold, we see a regime retreating behind a digital Iron Curtain to hide the truth about its failing economy. Yet, no matter how high the wall, it eventually falls.

Our 20th sanctions package to weaken the Kremlin’s invasion includes:

🔹 632 ships banned from our ports.
🔹 20 banks added to our list.
      🔹 €365m in trade halted.
🔹 Zero tolerance for sanctions dodging.

I feel like EU thinks similarly and I can't hope for that to be solved. It'd be much more complicated in the first place. Ban trade of goods that were sourced in russia, but then how do you prove that?

Plus well, the Israel-USA aggression in the middle east made russian oil a hot commodity again, so they're not being hurt as much as they could if some other genociders didn't end up helping them

@EUCommission Now to start building geothermal power-plants which can gain is not only energy but minerals as well.

Then we'd need less nuclear power-plants -> No need to buy Uranium from Russia -> Not financing Russian aggression

(It would also solve the question of "what do we do with the nuclear waste")

The net around Russia's war machine is getting tighter.

As our sanctions take hold, we see a regime retreating behind a digital Iron Curtain to hide the truth about its failing economy. Yet, no matter how high the wall, it eventually falls.

Our 20th sanctions package to weaken the Kremlin’s invasion includes:

🔹 632 ships banned from our ports.
🔹 20 banks added to our list.
                                  🔹 €365m in trade halted.
🔹 Zero tolerance for sanctions dodging.

@EUCommission 365M blocked? How much do they make in oil & gas exports again?

À la carte sanctions, big talk, and empty promises.
Hundreds of sanctions against Russia, yet you’re cowards when it comes to genocidal Israel.
But you always do the same thing everywhere—for example, in Syria and Libya.
Another prime example is the UAE, which is responsible for the genocide in Sudan.

So you’d be better off keeping quiet than bragging.

@martin Za mě je lepší geotermální elektrárna, protože pak máš ještě minerály jako např.: Lithium, a 5km hluboký vrt je dostatečný.
(Samozřejmě, že čím hlouběji tím líp.)

As long as we buy fossil fuels anywhere on the world market we are (indirectly) supporting Russia with money.

100% renewable energy is the only way to successful sanctions!
