When he sent the post, #Trump was fresh off a weekend of attending a MMA fight in Miami & spending time with supporters at his golf club after negotiations with #Iran had failed. He criticized #PopeLeo as “weak on crime”—an insult he usually reserves for Democratic mayors—& “terrible for foreign policy.” …Trump also accused the pope of “catering to the radical left” & then offered a piece of advice, to “focus on being a Great Pope, not a Politician.”

The antagonistic post showed there are no boundaries when it comes to people #Trump might target—the leader of the world’s 1.4 billion Catholics is apparently fair game. Shortly after sending his post on Sunday, Trump disembarked Air Force One & answered reporters’ questions. Asked why he sent the post, Trump said he did not think the pope was doing a good job & suggested that #PopeLeo “likes crime, I guess.” He accused the pope of supporting nuclear weapons & called him a “very liberal person.”

@Nonilex I guess jd vance will now attack the catholic faith as anti American. It would fit with his stance that allowing non Christian, non European immigrants into usa dilutes and weakens the culture of usa.

(Note, he is a catholic convert whose Hindu wife's parents immigrated. He is serving a man he once called America's Hitler. His campaigns were all funded by a man who wants to destroy democracy.)
