«Porto il saluto del plotone... ehm, della Procura della Repubblica». Non passa inosservata la battuta del procuratore di Roma, Francesco Lo Voi, intervenuto al XXV Congresso di Magistratura democratica. Nel mirino del togato quanto affermato nei giorni scorsi da Giusi Bartolozzi, capo di gabinetto del ministero della Giustizia.  «Credo che questo congresso - dice, rivolgendosi ai colleghi - specie per il momento in cui ci troviamo, debba rappresentare un qualcosa in più rispetto a quanto finora abbiamo vissuto nell'associazionismo». Ricordando come sia stato tra i protagonisti di quel Csm di cui erano parte integrante Virginio Rognoni e l'ex minsitro Luigi Berlinguer, nonché il professore Giorgio Spangher, (nome di spicco dei comitati per il Sì), dice, rivolgendosi al Guardasigilli, cosa ci fosse di «para- mafioso» in quel sistema: «O si capisce poco di mafia o poco o nulla di magistratura. Le due cose vanno decisamente poco bene e certamente non ci fanno bene».
Un'esternazione, dunque, che non manca di scatenare più di un semplice dibattito. Non tarda ad arrivare, infatti, la replica del ministro della Giustizia, Carlo Nordio. «Mi duole - spiega in un video messaggio - che un magistrato investito di così alte funzioni continui a equivocare sulle parole che non sono frutto del mio convincimento, ma sono state da me riferite come pronunciate da un altro magistrato». L'esponente del governo, rispetto alle accuse, ricorda come sia entrato in magistratura nel 1976 e la sua prima inchiesta sia stata proprio sulle Br. «Ho lavorato - sottolinea - con Giancarlo Caselli. Essendo stato con lui trovato nelle liste che venivano trovate nei covi dei terroristi, vi pare possibile che possa avere in mente di sottoporre la magistratura giudicante e requirente al potere esecutivo?».</CW>

I bring greetings from the platoon… uh, the Public Prosecutor’s Office. The prosecutor of Rome, Francesco Lo Voi, didn’t go unnoticed making a joke at the XXV Congress of the Democratic Magistracy. The toga-wearing magistrate was the target of the comments made recently by Giusi Bartolozzi, chief of staff to the Ministry of Justice. “I believe that this congress – he said, addressing his colleagues – especially at this moment, should represent something more than what we’ve experienced so far in associationism.” Remembering his role among the protagonists of that CSM which included Virginio Rognoni and former Minister Luigi Berlinguer, as well as Professor Giorgio Spangher (a prominent figure in the committees for Yes), he said, addressing the Minister of Justice, that there was something “mafioso” about that system: “One understands little of the mafia or little to nothing of the magistracy. The two things go very badly and certainly don’t do us good.”

This statement, therefore, didn’t fail to spark more than a simple debate. The Minister of Justice, Carlo Nordio, quickly offered a reply in a video message. “I am saddened – he explained – that a magistrate entrusted with such high functions continues to misinterpret words that are not the result of my conviction, but were referred to me as having been spoken by another magistrate.” The government appointee, in response to the accusations, recalled entering the magistracy in 1976 and his first investigation was on the BR. “I worked – he emphasized – with Giancarlo Caselli. Being found with him on the lists found in the terrorist hideouts, do you think I could have in mind to subject the judicial magistracy and the prosecuting authority to executive power?”
