    Hi #fediverse. We need to talk about something.

    While browsing the Fediverse today it appears most people here have never tried to pick up a duck or swan. Like, not even once during their childhood.

    Some people say they've not even touched a living chicken!

    My hypothesis is that people here get upset about whatever hypothesis I present so I'll shutup on this.

    ๐Ÿฆ† ๐Ÿฆข

    Have you try pick up a duck or swan?

    Please boost for scientific accuracy (or don't, it's your choice, that #science for you!)

    @Pepijn
    I have picked up pet birds (tiny to large). No chickens or ducks.

      For scientific reasons, now, urgently, I'm in need of a video on how to pick up the swan, or, in the absence of a swan, a goose.

        @Pepijn I have picked up a barred owl and a red-tailed hawk (not at the same time). However, I have never been in a situation where either I or a swan/duck/goose would benefit from me putting hands on it, so I've kept them to myself.

          Instructions for duck. For swans step two should be adapted.

          Ok. Just tried the two step method. It really is not as easy as the original video makes it out to be.

                                      @Pepijn

                                      I believe you may be what people call "an odd duck", Pepijn.

                                      That is not a criticism. I like ducks (have picked many up, petted them, fed them, raised them from egg, studied them in the wild, etc.) I like most "odd" people, much more in fact than I like hidebound, sullen, militantly average people.

                                      I'm an odd duck, myself.

                                      Thanks for your entertaining posts.

                                        I cry โ€œfowlโ€! I have hugged and carried a chicken. ๐Ÿ“
                                        Do baby ducks, count? Then yes. Ducks!

                                          @Pepijn Hang on. Are you just approaching random stranger ducks? Ducks whomst are unknown to you?

                                          Just planning on goin' around, pickin' up strangers??

                                          Now, I'm no @fzer0, but I'm pretty sure that is not the way. Not the way, at all. ๐Ÿ˜ฎ
