I’m open to talking about the project and where I’m seeing stress points. My frustration is mainly thay I’m familiar with the web - I have done some development work (2000’s-2010’s), but I’m not up on the latest tech and do not have the cognitive ability to teach myself again due to disability. That’s the real truth of it. So, I’m reaching out for help.

I’m looking for someone to gently help guide and consult me along the way. Basically, help me with the more cognitively demanding tasks of getting the site online.

@dinozombie I should also mention that I do ship outside of Canada/U.S.! I just don’t from Etsy because of their system causing issues with shipping options/fees.

@britt I was tempted to put an order in but orders outside US/Canada are always more expensive even if we're still neighbors and Canada would be further away 🫠

Before I commit to an order I'd like to know what do you use for shipping? People from fedi have mailed me stuff like stickers, etc and they don't always get here via post office unfortunately

@dinozombie of course! I totally understand. I use a service within Canada called ChitChats, they work with couriers in Canada and abroad, I have a business account with them. All orders include full tracking. Depending on how your local mail/packages are distributed and delivered will determine how the box shows up for you. (i.e. post office delivery vs courier delivery) I ship everything in boxes (no envelopes) with honeycomb paper, with each item packaged individually inside.

From memory the hardest part was linking up Stripe and trying to work out details for taxes and shipping . Which I'm pretty sure are right

@britt @SQLAllFather I don’t have a good recommendation for a developer but a good web host in Canada that I’ve been using is @websavers and they do provide some web development services as well I believe.
