What clues reveal about a possible Windows 12

Here's what we know about Windows 12 based on all the rumors, leaks, and sources over the past few years, from "Hudson Valley Next" to "CorePC" and more.

@mttaggart that could be a hard sale especially if they repeat win 11 up min required hardware given AI companies are basically buying up all the ram, etc they can get a hold of jacking the prices up for the rest of us. And then there is the last two years of absolute disaster patch day after another with more breaking or even bricking machines than not...

I remember Microsoft bragging hard that Windows 10 was the last version to be shipped ever. New features were supposed to come as regular updates.

No, an AI-focused "Windows 12" is not coming this year — here's the plan

A new report has caught the internet's attention, claiming that Windows 12 is coming this year and will be a modular, AI-powered OS. Here's why that's wrong.

@crackhappy @bweller @bmoreinis @mttaggart @catsalad Ubuntu said that's an open list discussion, not commentary from the developers or anything official. It's not instant anything, fortunately.

@mttaggart it’s reasonably interesting how it happened, but it doesn’t change that it shouldn’t have happened and should have been caught before it was published
So yeah, the chances of me taking anything from PC world seriously now are not zero but they’re not much above zero
