Can you drive a vehicle with a manual gearbox?

I thought of that, and decided that it didn't matter too much.
It was really sparked off by all those "Have you ever...." lists followed by things like "Used a rotary dial phone?" "Played a CD" and the like. So I just wanted to see how rare the "can" people were.
@hayesstw Fair enough

@hayesstw even with non synced gearbox

@hayesstw mastodon users might be a bit of a sampling problem.

I prefer to, but when we bought our new Mazda 3 we would have had to have bought a more expensive model to get the full manual transmission but we got the Mazda 3 Sport with a clutchless manual mode.

@scottrochester @hayesstw I drove a manual for years in the US. Now I'm in the process of getting my UK driving license and will go for the "automatic" option for the practical test. I can shift in my sleep with my right hand but my left hand just doesn't have the muscle memory to deal with it.

@hayesstw yes, until the next wall.
