      @jeremy
      to be honest, i mostly read my own time line (hashtags and people i follow), and only if i have time left i go to my local (instance) time line. it's not a big instance so even if i only go there about once a week it does not take much time to read everything. never go to the federated timeline, i tried but there's not much that interest me there.

        @jeremy Exclusively my home timeline:

        As I'm the only user on my instance, the local timeline is pointless. As the federated one is way too busy with random stuff.

          @michael @jeremy I also use home timeline exclusively, even when local and federated was available on mastodon.social (now only /explore is shown).

          I compensate by try to follow a lot of accounts that might be interesting.

            @aslakr @jeremy yeah, same. Following hashtags is also pretty essential…

                @berangere444 Thanks for the feedback! The poll was missing clarity, I posted a new one, hopefully more explicit 🙂

                When you're using Mastodon, which timeline (TL) do you mostly read? Feel free to comment and share :) #MastoAdmin #Mastodon [ ] Your home TL (accounts & hashtags you follow) [ ] The local timeline (accounts on the same instance) [ ] The federated TL (posts that your instance notice) [ ] A bit of this, a bit of that (feedback welcome!)

                        @jeremy single user insurance. Local is just me. I use a lot of lists with accounts hidden from the home timeline, which is pruned to accounts I want to interact with, and spend a lot of time bouncing around topical lists where the accounts I follow are hidden from the home timeline. Never miss anything. If only lists had the capacity to hide boosts! #mastoadmin #mastodon

                        I browse the federated timeline once or twice per day
