It's not #podcasting if it's not #RSS but why do we care?

Cause that ensures the medium is decentralized. That anybody can create a podcast using whatever tech they want and anybody can consume it using whatever tech they want. And that locks in independence for creators. There is no third party who can silence anyone for saying something unpopular.

I advocate decentralized media because the technology opens the culture to every perspective, which is how democracy thrives.
