@JaxVent @scribblanitea I am choosing to be left behind more as I get older, I have always loved tech and computers, but not the direction things seem to be moving in. It is not benefiting the world or us, the humans living here.

@scribblanitea Easy paying with the app is some special thing over there, or at least we don't have it here. If people want to accept cards, and they generally would because otherwise people like me won't have any cash on them to give them, they have a POS-terminal, sometimes a QR code, or just give you their card number written (I paid for greens at a produce fair today by shaking my phone and picking one of the names, but that's specific to this particular bank, and I've never done that before). Convenient, but weird, and only 3 numbers and 2 taps involved.
But _installing an app to pay_? What kind of barbaric place that island is! -
