@alice @Darkasvim I consume a vast amount of soy. I look nothing like that. Am I doing something wrong? /s

@low have you tried it in chicken-textured nugget form? I've heard it makes it more potent.

@alice First of all, what a loser.

Second, why do those chodes always try to make awesome things sound bad? Like, soy is genuinely delicious AND good for you. Being a soyboy or -girl is rad as hell. Or "social justice warrior." Yes! Fuck yes I would like to fight in the name of social justice, that sounds dope!

              Now I'm hungry for tofu.

@Legit_Spaghetti @alice agree. There's a funny irony to it all as well.

Take "snowflake" for example. Literal snowflakes are beautiful and magical things, as is being sensitive and kind in a brutal world. So it feels like it should be said in a complementary way.

So to use snowflake as a pejorative to me feels so strange for that reason, but also because it exposes the user's inherent weakness and their own sensitivity at just leaving other people alone and not letting it affect them.

Making them kinda fit their own description of "snowflake".

But I'm just a woke soyboy beta cuck what would I know.

@alice on that topic: where does the term soy boy come from anyway?
Is it because eating meat is considered being manly (by those kinds of people) or is it because of the phytoestrogen in soy?
                      (or something else?)

If it was the phytoestrogen, it would be funny, because beer contains that too (I think more, or stronger ones) and those people probably drink a lot of it πŸ˜„

@Legit_Spaghetti @alice it also amuses me because white people seem to not understand that tofu is like cheese for lactose-intolerant Asians. Like we deep fry it, we ferment it, we make it stinky, we put it in soups, etc. so I guess he called you cheese boy and ok..?

@alice I used to follow this vegan advocate (he was very kind and progressive) on YouTube who sold merch which was a shirt that said "Soy Boy" on it, and tbh the fact that he would wear that in basically every single one of his videos has made it impossible for me to see that world with a negative connotation anymore.

I suppose it doesn't help he was one of my first realizations that I might be attracted to (less overly masculine) men, back when I was like 16.

(Hmm, I wonder if I should see what he's up to now?)

@alice I find after reading a story like this, I like to watch the video of two drunken thugs pick a fight with two people in drag, unfortunately for the thugs, the people in drag are cage fighters on a night out. Instant karma.
