I just sent off a test kit for FamilyTree DNA. To my surprise it came with two swabs and two vials. I guess if the left side of my face is from an absorbed fraternal twin, the bases are covered.๐ŸŒ“

My brother did one a while back and I was surprised to find that my heritage is not as German/Irish as I was told growing up, but more closely related to actual vikings.

@Kolanaki @Amuletta Remember that certain 'ethnicities' are easily confused - German can look like English or Scandinavian, and sometimes Dutch. Also, each individual only inherits a portion of their ancestors' genes, so you're not getting a full view of your actual ancestry. It also makes a lot of difference who else has tested - each company compares your dna to other people in their own database, so different companies will give you different results. I take those 'ethnicity estimates' with a grain of salt.
