Interesting.

Interesting. It would appear that something has changed on Hackernews around April 8. Up until that point, the daily line-up was pretty much dominated by stories written by AI or about AI. After that, it pretty much stopped.
(I've been tracking it for a while for fun.)

@stacey_campbell You probably won't want to hear that, but almost every time someone says that to me on social media, I look at their feed, and I see they reshared AI-generated stories that just said something they like (often "AI is bad" / "political party X is bad").
And... I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but I'm pretty sure you fell for it too. For example, this is almost certainly AI slop: https://mastodon[.]social/@jaimedavid99/116382857485892762

@lcamtuf how to you flag if it's ai generated or not?

@w00p Some "human" heuristics here: https://lcamtuf.substack.com/p/when-it-comes-to-writing-llms-have - but also, Pangram has gotten good enough that you can pretty much trust the tool (or, I have not seen a single case where its findings didn't align with what was apparent)
