How long do you wait on a Zoom call for your attendee to join?
Here's my nominations:
A general five minute grace period. Then...
* If it's a customer, send an email at the 5:00 mark offering to reschedule, and give them another five
* If it's an employee send them a slack at the 5:00 mark and give them another two.
* If it's a friend, send the email at 5:00 and then wait one minute for each year you've known them up to a total of 15 minutes

@fuzztech You're a patient man! I make it clear in the invite to be there at least 10 mins early in case there are technical issues, and just start without anyone who's late.

@fuzztech “if you’re on time, you’re five minutes late”

@fuzztech Depends on whether I forgot I had the call open in the other window. I've accidentally still been in a call when someone joined 20+ minutes late before. Although I try not to be, because at that point I'd rather they went back to sleep.

@fuzztech my rule for coworkers… you have 5 minutes.
If after waiting 5 minutes, there’s no one… disconnect and let them know.
