I was just walking down the stairs in my baggy trousers, caught a protruding piece of wood, and headbutted the huge oak beam with severe force.

Fuck, it feels like I've been twatted on the forehead with a lead cosh. There is blood.
I'm hoping my neanderthal lack of sinuses may help avoid the deddening.

@davep best clean the beam, before the missus sees the mess you've made

Seriously, hope you are ok π«

Still feeling a little bit iffy today. If I start feeling sick I'll probably pop off to the hospital.

@davep very sorry to hear this. Are you alone? Is there anyone who can come for a cuppa just to see how normal our not you are as you may not realise you're not. Also do you know about checking your pupil sizes etc?

@Thayer I am alone, my wife is coming back tomorrow. That's one of the reasons I didn't want to go to the hospital in case they keep me in as a precautionary measure when I've got to go and pick my wife up from the station about 40km away.
It's not the first time I've done this. A couple of years back I decided to run downstairs to make a quick coffee during a Teams meeting break, got my feet caught up, and basically did a Naruto run into the beam. That was the top of my noggin whereas this is the forehead and I think the force was less this time.
Anyway, I can call on my next door neighbour if I start getting drowsy or something.
What's the pupil thing? Lack of reaction to light?

@Thayer My pupils are reacting normally to the light and I'm feeling somewhat better.
