US citizen here. Why would anyone from outside this fucked up country run by a racist, fascist, government, knowing that there is a very real possibility of this happening, come here for any reason?
Over the past couple of hundred years we, Europeans, have persuaded a lot of our own idiots to seek happiness in USA. But not all of them could afford the trip back then!
Their children and grand children, and so on (those we're still trying to clean out of our gene pool) are still happily visiting the promised land for vacation!
On a side note:
We don't really mind you keeping them there for a while. I mean, if your REALLY feel like you need to lock someone up... -

@publictorsten You’re astonished that a British man with a British passport was traveling? He wasn’t expecting to re-enter the US, it’s absurd that after being forced to because of Canadian customs he is then incarcerated in the US when he was literally TRYING to leave it.
