    @chargen okay, here goes...

    You get to design a new competitive Olympic event, and all the official folx and media have to treat it like any other time-honored tradition. What is it?

    I re-invent the high-dive, only it's sideways, out of a giant slingshot, into a huge vertical wall of Jello. Competitors get graded on style, technique, depth, and flavor choice.

    @alice @chargen Alpine Prairiedogging - the athletes burrow into snow at the start and tunnel to the finish line over a winding course. They’re allowed to pop up to orient, but the competitors can pelt them with snowballs.

    (This is essentially what my kid’s swim team used to do to cool off between races.)

      @TheBreadmonkey oof, they'd need a therapy event afterwards for the athletes in the first event.

        This sounds like a good exercise for word weavers.

              @nickynah that's funny, I'd replace the field with politicians and keep the javelin the way it is.

                  @alice @chargen Honestly, there is absolutely no reason to suggest anything else after this. You nailed it. Why are we not funding this?
