Today I turn 63. This short video attempts to express how I feel and how something is calling to me from deep within ever since I was a child.
Don't tell me it's just another trip around the sun because we already know very well that the world revolves in a complex spiral of spirals and nothing ever returns to the same place.
For almost 30 years, every year on April 8th I remember and celebrate Kanbutsu-e as is done in Japan and in Zendos almost all over the world. I don't have a sangha to go to right now, but I'll sit and do Zazen with my cats and my dog, who for some strange reason seem to understand what it's all about.
From Zen I learned to see, accept and live life as it is, that the only life I have and that exists is the present moment, that the world I see is an interpretation of my mind and not reality.
In the following years, I will try to focus on the practice and learning of the Dharma and help others on that path. Today I'm starting to definitively give up many activities that used to interest me. I've already deleted several accounts and completely retired from the bug bounty world.
And I will try to share here reflections, wisdom I find along the way, and of course, cats, lots of cats, funny cats and wise cats, cats of all colors. Because cats are great teachers.#birthday #oldage #zen #zazen #wisdom #cats #zencats #actuallyautistic
