Warm but cloudy spring day, going up to 78F (25C), then raining and getting colder again tomorrow. As usual I went out for my early-morning walk.
Every day for the past week I've walked past a coffee mug lying in the mud. Today I decided that whoever dropped it wasn't coming back for it, so I picked it up. It had a drawing of Trump on one side, with the words, 'You're the best mother in the whole world" above the drawing, and "all the other mothers are just LOSERS" below it.
Was this supposed to be funny? I didn't laugh. I thought it was hateful. I put the mug in the trash.
It kind of put a pall over my early-morning walk. May you have a better start to your day.
