Welcome to Tuesday. On today's drive in I got stuck behind someone driving a manual transmission, but they really didn't know how to drive it. I respect them trying to learn, it's a dying skill, but rush hour commute isn't the best classroom. He got at least 3
that I saw, none from me, he looked pretty miserable already. I've spent more time driving a stick shift than an automatic and it definitely takes practice to master it.Have a great day!

@That_One_Guy I still remember learning to drive a manual transmission. Yelling "Go, car, go" more times than I would like to admit.
That person definitely should not be holding up traffic.

I'm currently driving a car with the first automatic transmission I've had in my life, and even though I drove a stick for over 60 years, that guy has my sympathy.

I learned to drive a manual transmission on the farm a few years before driving an automatic. I think I was 10 or 11.Most people don't have that opportunity but I know plenty of people I grew up with who learned driving around town. Then you'd just wave someone around when you had trouble. I got stuck on a hill or two myself way back when.
