That PixelFed Dansup guy has been called out by BIPOC women for a couple of years and I see he’s up to his usual BS again.

He has been one big red flag since the beginning and if you make excuses for him just block me. -

@giflian @stephaniepixie They're very good friends. They always defend each other when they're being accused of "being shitty"

@stephanie @stephaniepixie starting to see the subtoots in my feed, and wondering what past subtoots were about either of them too.
I tend to mute people who say shitty things, which makes my experience nicer but I do miss some context.

@stephanie @giflian @stephaniepixie dansup's aggrandizing manner is what made me avoid pixelfed when i changed servers

@stephanie @giflian Unsurprising that two shitty men who are well-liked by men would tag-team in the ring.

@giflian @stephanie I understand why people subtoot if they don’t want violent attention but I feel like by not naming the perpetrators we keep so many people out of the loop, which then protects the abusers.

@stephaniepixie @giflian Absolutely.
However, admins of large instances (like Chad), have enormous power on your follows/followers.
The first time I named him, I was banned from the instance and lost hundreds of mutuals. It's really a big problem here

@stephanie @giflian I understand that.
I don’t care if I lose followers, especially if they are from the same instance as the abusers. They can migrate and find me later if they care to remain mutuals. -

And it actually lead to many people leaving when that happened. I was thankful to everyone who believed me. I just couldn't share what had happened to them, so I needed other people to do it for me. It's annoying.

@stephanie It gets tricky when it’s personal and it’s not your experience to divulge.
It can get lonely.
Fedi certainly takes some maneuvering, but I’ll gladly start over from scratch and find the good ones again if it comes to that. -
