No new baby goats in the #BabyGoatCountdown, but the 5 I've got are still ridiculously cute. It will be warm enough (FINALLY) to get them outside in the sun later this morning. Their mamas will be VERY happy to be back with the whole herd, they are getting bored.

And there were auroras again for the 2am barn check! Not quite as spectacular as the night before, but still quite good!

(And I see we've reached Starlinks-visible-all-night time of year already at this latitude. Sigh.)

@sundogplanets Wow! Baby goats and auroras, living the dream! Albeit a bit chilly, but still. 😍😎

@sundogplanets amazing. All of it. That aurora looks like an arrow of change, a good harbinger, a good time for new life to be brought into the world.

@sundogplanets Mama's multi tasking - eating and peeing at the same time. Amazing timing, Prof!

I have to say that sitting on a warm pile of hay in the sun underneath a blanket of sleeping baby goats is the absolute best part about farming. #BabyGoatCountdown

@NMBA You may be right. They’re a long way off and both are migrating right now.

@Chigaze @NMBA This particular V was definitely snowgeese (sorry the photo is terrible), but we saw loads of sandhill cranes today too! No whooping cranes that I saw.
