        @erkhyan
        I mean, Mozilla stated publicly that they were confused at the concept of "consent" when people asked them not to put AI in their products. That might be a reason to put a pause on trust... How much better are the new user agreements for Firefox than chromium now that they are selling our data? (Honest question, i don't know) How will they change in the future? There is a trend now

        I like Vivaldi (it's chromium)🙃
        I also like Water Fox but i think they're riding a sinking codebase.

        So the way i see it, i choose the system that ruined Firefox or i stay with a ruined Firefox, and I'm not looking to be a martyr for my browser politics (i am doing that for too many other things already)

                      @erkhyan Next time suggest Librewolf to them. Not paid by google and no AI slop included.

                      As a bonus, uBlock is built in and other privacy goodies!

                          @erkhyan I see this cognitive distortion a lot. People don't back up and compare with a baseline, they just fuzzily judge based on how frequently they see a conversation happening, causing them to get things exactly backwards. I don't know what to do about it!

                            @erkhyan I mean...it's not...it's not *wrong*

                            Google does not, in fact, pay themselves* to put AI in Chrome

                            *Actually, depending on how Alphabet does their internal accounting, they very well could be paying themselves to put AI in Chrome

                                  @erkhyan Reminds me of all those people who threatened to switch to Brave because they didn't want to deal with Firefox getting worse... when Brave somehow has those same issues amplified up to eleven
