My community management team at the European Commission is nominated for the European Ombudsman award! We read and respond to comments in all EU languages, making our social feeds more interactive (and removing #HateSpeech before you have to read it)!

As a former normie, I get why so many on Mastodon talk as if your average boomer (or getting there) MEP/Minister/government official is well aware of the existence of the fediverse but reject it because of bad press/think nobody's here/no sweet algorithmic hit straight in their veins (this one is 100% true for the terminally online like Sikorski or our Minister of transport).Basically, we're often doing the meme:

I'm being a stickler here, but the EU Commission being in the top 15 would be niceGiven the fact that of course, people are not necessarily tech experts, I wonder...how difficult could be to give, I'm not saying to start with all MEPs but at least to the 27 EU commissioners, an account on ec.social-network.europa.eu ?
Once they have it set up, with a client on the phone, I think they would soon notice the number of constructive interactions, and the absence of trolls
