As a former normie, I get why so many on Mastodon talk as if your average boomer (or getting there) MEP/Minister/government official is well aware of the existence of the fediverse but reject it because of bad press/think nobody's here/no sweet algorithmic hit straight in their veins (this one is 100% true for the terminally online like Sikorski or our Minister of transport).Basically, we're often doing the meme:

I'm being a stickler here, but the EU Commission being in the top 15 would be niceGiven the fact that of course, people are not necessarily tech experts, I wonder...how difficult could be to give, I'm not saying to start with all MEPs but at least to the 27 EU commissioners, an account on ec.social-network.europa.eu ?
Once they have it set up, with a client on the phone, I think they would soon notice the number of constructive interactions, and the absence of trolls
