@sean_ae posting stupid IT and "entrepreneurship" bullshit, mostly written with an LLM
@sean_ae when I was working as a backend developer I remember seeing a colleague posting useless stuff about devops (cloud/network admin stuff) every damn day it was so silly.

@lislegaard @sean_ae this is an accurate assessment. In the US, you can guarantee that if you’re trying to get a job anyplace even a little corporate, this is the first place they’ll check up on you. Same with salespeople finding out about who to stalk.

what do people use LinkedIn for?
yesterday an article popped up in my instance with a linkedin link and I asked a similar question to myself.

-
what do people use LinkedIn for?
I tried to use it connect to colleagues in the field and potentially customers, but found that it was so full of offensively successful people not caring about other people it made me feel sick.
The really interesting people however were either not on LinkedIn or not using it actively, because they apparently don't have time to bother with that kind of stuff.
Or, in case of companies, I was not connecting to people but to social media departments… these being PR folks, and not potential clients / decision makers.
