We had a good trip in the centre of Leicester today.
We found a wonderful café run hyper-enthusiastic Ukrainian lady who fed us excellent cake and gave us very interesting drinks. I had white rose infused hot chocolate and Sacha had a layered latte. We tried some Kiev Cake which seemed to be mostly nuts and macaroons - yummee.
She's got a huge mostly unused event space upstairs that is crying out for a new use or a tenant. So if you need anywhere then have a look at 5Coats on High Street #Leicester
My eyes haven't changed and the macular changes haven't got worse, so that's one less worry. Sacha spent too much in Flying Tiger again (which doesn't have any till staff any more - boo hiss!)

There seems to have been a decent number of good coffee shops that have opened in Leicester since Bruccianis closed - although some don't last. My previous favourite was Mbiki which is now The Heritage Cafe.The owner has this space, but doesn't seem to know how to capitalise on it - a space for local artists to display and sell their work would be good.
