    BRIAN ENO
    Music For Films
    1978 UK pressing

    A very loose-y goose-y batch of songs that Eno intended for filmmakers to use in their movies, though no films in particular.

    A lot of them are very short, and the gear that Eno used would also find its way onto David Bowie’s LOW.

    Some of this material actually DID make it into some movies. The two most famous examples being Rock N Roll High School with The Ramones, and the killer 1986 John Woo movie A Better Tomorrow.

    This is not something I listen to often, but since it’s snowing like a motherfucker outside right now, I figured it would be a good choice.

      @TheVinylApe I have the Traveling Backwards vinyl box set that I purchased in the early 80s, and I have not listened to any of it for a very long time.

      Where are you located with all of the snow? Just a gray day here in suburban Boston. Waiting for the two feet of snow we already have to melt.

        @tonymasiello 😂
        I’m actually FROM Boston.
        But I’ve lived in Vancouver Island for close to 19 years now.

        I live pretty elevated and am surrounded by mountains, so sometimes it snows intensely for a half hour and then stops.

        None of it accumulates. It just makes for a nice visual.
        I essentially live in Canada’s equivalent to California, just with the occasional bout of mountain dandruff.
