So, this morning I woke up in an airport hotel in Atlanta, and as my friends and colleagues are rolling into Le Ministère to have a Fediverse event in the city where it all began, I'm waiting at a gate to board my flight home.
Thanks to the rest of the Fedimtl team for being super supportive as I have been running around doing everything except preparing for our event. And I hope my friends who are visiting Montreal for the first time have had fun over the last couple of days.

Last week, my uncle died. He lived alone in Gulfport, Mississippi. His partner died a few months ago. My mother is his closest relative, but she doesn't travel much any more, so I flew down to take care of the practicalities and settle his affairs.
@evan I'm sorry to hear of your loss, Evan.
Would love to be in Montreal but other things had to take priority. Good luck with the talk and hopefully you can get some downtime soon.
