      @chris we are constantly in planning mode for a potential move up there, so news like this... is troubling. Last thing we want to do is move the whole family up north, then find ourselves in another country subjugated by the one we just left....

            @chris Carney is turning out to be not only a real disappointment but, he's actually hurting Canada. PP is worse. I wish people would wise up and vote NDP and give them a chance. I mean, really, could they do any worse than the Libs and Cons constantly taking turns fucking us over? I think if the NDP got in there might not be a Con or Lib win for a very long time after people see what the NDP could do for us all.

                “Like Mexico, Canada remains open to deeper integration, including options for fortress North America in (certain) sectors...", so the CTV story referenced goes.

                "Certain sectors" is the part left out.

                Canada open to ‘deeper integration’ with U.S. in some sectors, Carney says

                Speaking to a room of progressive policy experts in Toronto Saturday, Prime Minister Mark Carney offered some insight into what Canada has offered up ahead of an official review of the Canada-U.S.-Mexico Agreement (CUSMA) this summer.

                  @chris I hope so, but the problem will be the ghost of Bob Rae in Ontario. Maybe if enough younger people who weren’t poisoned by the Mike Harris lies get out to vote, we can put that to bed. @Rick_d_card

                                      Media means corporations and they hate socialism. It's in a way unfortunate but, in another way it's good because of technology. If the NDP can use tech efficiently the media conglomerates won't matter. Here's hoping!

                                          @chris

                                          What he said (that the headline leaves out):

                                          “Like Mexico, Canada remains open to deeper integration, including options for fortress North America in (certain) sectors. And to be clear, those offers are on the table”

                                          What he also said:

                                          “We need to build new trade relationships in order to move from reliance to resilience”

                                          It’s not all about kissing up to the US.

                                          @Sanderde unfortunately headlines rule the day. And this one sucks for Canada.
