      I do actively seek out new music.
      And I know I’m in the relative minority at 40, but I wondered by how much.
      There are multiple polls in the thread above, split by age.
      (Because I can only make 4-choice polls here)

      When I remember to, I post about music and gigs on https://metalmenu.co.uk or on its Instagram account.
      (I’ve got 2 album mini reviews, an ep mini review and two gigs that I keep meaning to blog about. I have posted about them on instagram though.)

      @mattgrayyes not one I actively saught out but just regularly going to whatever music night is on at the local pub introduced me to CELAVI (who I'll be seeing there again Saturday night).

        I'm too moldy old for your poll, but I revel in new music and actively pursue it.

                @mattgrayyes I feel like "Actively" is not a binary measure. I feel like I've found some new music I like from artists I didn't already know, but at most, by vague searches in the youtubes, or by acknowledging when the algorithms find me something.

                  @HLunke @geerlingguy @mattgrayyes then there's a separate classical music poll for that?

                          @mattgrayyes I am 60 and I am constantly checking out newer music and musicians. Recently went to my 40th high school reunion and when it was being planned the organisers said they would make sure the place played 80s music and I said “can they not?” 🤪

                                @mattgrayyes I would say I do actively seek out new music, but I am too young to know how to do that well. My friendgroup has a way different taste, album reviews are something that I stumble upon randomly on the internet and it usually misses my taste and the streaming service's algorithm is not good enough. How do you all find new artists?
