My friendgroup has a way different taste, album reviews are something that I stumble upon randomly on the internet and it usually misses my taste and the streaming service's algorithm is not good enough. How do you all find new artists?

Recently went to my 40th high school reunion and when it was being planned the organisers said they would make sure the place played 80s music and I said “can they not?” 🤪

I feel like I've found some new music I like from artists I didn't already know, but at most, by vague searches in the youtubes, or by acknowledging when the algorithms find me something.
