Also I didn't tell you all earlier, but due to weird constraints from travel, there are actually FIVE goats who are due to kid in 4 days. The most I've ever had kid in one day previously was two. This will be... even more chaotic than a normal kidding year. Weeee.

@vapaad Yeah... on the one hand, I'll only have 2 or 3 days of 2am barn checks. On the other hand, there will probably be new babies at all of the 2am barn checks!

In other much less exciting news, my partner is out starting the first seedlings in soil blocks (about a month late, but that'll have to do this year).
And I'm still trying to resurrect my sourdough starter. I left some in the fridge for 3 months, and some in freezer. Started feeding the fridge starter 3 days ago and it's still not going. I added some of the freezer starter today, to see if that helps.
Will have to see if my kefir grains survived once I have goat milk again next week...

@sundogplanets Good luck with the sourdough and the kefir grains! Reviving frozen kefir grains after ~months has worked for me.
