    E2EE is coming to Mastodon. And it’s long overdue. Not until next year, but at least it’s on the horizon.

    On one hand, it’s a little scary seeing Mastodon features receiving large sums of money for features and improvements. On the other, it’s meaningful to see Mastodon maturing.

    Mastodon announced they were awarded a €614k service agreement by the Sovereign Tech Fund to fund the development of new features and improvements, including end-to-end encrypted private messages.

        @bob nah. I don’t believe we have to worry about that. When messages have E2EE (end-to-end encryption) only you and the other party can see them.
