️ The F-4 Object, or Rákosi Bunker, is a secretive Cold War atomic shelter hidden beneath #Budapest, Hungary. This vast subterranean complex, built in absolute secrecy during the 1950s and 1960s, was designed to shield top communist party officials from nuclear attack. Today, it stands as a fascinating, intact relic of Cold War paranoia.More photos and history - https://www.obsidianurbexphotography.com/other/f-4-object-rakosi-bunker-hungary/

@ObsidianUrbex That Cold War green is unhinged - esp the dribbling everywhere!
(I understand the *paintwork* isn't exactly the point here, but it's so ubiquitous..!)

@ObsidianUrbex "Today, it stands as a fascinating, intact relic of Cold War paranoia."
It's not paranoia when you're a client dictatorship and the enemies of your overlords have thousands of nuclear bombs.
To look at this bunker and see paranoia is the pathological opposite of paranoia. The bombs are still there, and our leaders are reckless and aggressive.
