Got this email pointing me to a story about a "successful indie author" who "manages to balance a full-time job, motherhood, and writing."I'm sorry, but my minimum criteria for "successful author" means not having to hold down another job to support your writing. Otherwise, it's just "successfully published a book," which is indeed a form of success, but a much lower bar. That's more like "satisfied indie author."There's nothing wrong with being a satisfied author. Hell, that's *my* primary goal. But successful implies (to me at least) that it's a full time gig that's paying the bills.#WritingCommunity
