@gwynnion I recall an old interview with Keith Emerson talking about his iconic solo at the end of Lucky Man. He was just experimenting with a new Moog and that was more just messing around, so he wasn't a big fan of what was recorded, but they didn't have another track available to record on and they went with it instead of recording over it. Then the song became a huge hit and he didn't really know how to recreate it for concerts, but someone had transcribed it to a music sheet for Keyboard Magazine and it was from that he learned how to play his own solo.
