I have a similar cognitive response in these two different scenarios: reading the sciencey page at the dispensary that shows how awesome this strain is.And reading the sciencey page about LLMs like the one below.I read them with the full intention of understand said science. Then I get a few sentences in, and what looks like made up words start appearing. A few paragraphs in and I'm not sure it's English anymore.But, hey they have graphs.
