i am so tired of "ethical concerns aside" being a phrase i see every single time someone tries to defend the use of LLMs.@mrotteveel Schrodinger's toot.

The Rust Evangelism Task Force has declared "ethics" to be out of scope.@flpvsk if all they needed was a clear rule that allowed the rejection of slop PRs, then a straightforward "no slop" policy would work. "Setting aside the ethics" weaselage is a clear indication that they want to allow slop, while framing the debate in such a way that nobody is allowed to make them feel bad for doing so.

As I enter my 30th year of being very happily married to a woman way out of my league, I have a message to young men: there is a secret to a successful relationship, it's being best friends with another couple where the man is a useless buffoon@fesshole everything is relative.
